Members of the Falkland Islands community gathered at Fitzroy to remember those who lost their lives during the events of 8 June 1982.
On that day, the troopships RFA Sir Galahad and RFA Sir Tristram were attacked by Argentine aircraft while unloading troops at Fitzroy during the Falklands War. The attack claimed the lives of 48 servicemen and injured many more.
Prayers, scripture readings, wreath laying, The Last Post and a moment of silence took place across four memorials as the community paid tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
